| Unsurprisingly, in addition to the close to the floor passage, I love the close to the beam passage too. I have many favourites. I'll start with Andrea Cacovean who performed in 1993 several original close to the beam elements all connected. | Svetlana Grozdova's beam routine has always been one of my favorites. Routines today just don't have this flow. Her handstand positions and pirouettes are wonderful, as are her Cossack dance steps down the length of the beam.
