The ussr team gave us a lot of amazing Floor routines.
Baitova was a good performer, Boguinskaia, Laschenova,... I have a little preference for this 87/89 period.

I wrote a long post asking who this girl was, and then I figured it out . I really like this floor routine from Elena Zabrodina, the 1984 junior european champion (did nothing after that). The choreography reminds me of Mostepanova and Baraksanova, especially the first few seconds. I was convinced it was Baraksanova for a while. Also, I think that her first pass might have been 1 1/2 through to 3/1. I can't tell because of the video quality, but I would be surprised if she did a 1 1/2 through to 2/1 as her first pass and a full-in as her second. She unfortunately falls on the last pass, front tuck through to double tuck.

yes, that was funny. the dance does look a bit like Mostepanova (who I'm assuming is olga whatsherface ), but I don't think Mostepanova would have been able to do a full-in as a second pass, even with a low landing. Plus, the hair color is wrong. And there were many different Olgas .

Yeah, 'Olga' seems to be a fairly ubiquitous girl's name over there. Too confusing for gymn fans!
